Dear KAMI skincare friends,
Anyone who knows my story knows: everything at KAMI starts with my son. His neurodermatitis led me, as a doctor and mother, to look for solutions myself – because what was available simply wasn't good enough. Cortisone helps in the short term, but it doesn't strengthen the skin barrier. And that's the real problem.
That's why I developed the SOS Skin Care Oil, then the Balm, the 2-Phase Spray. And now the next step is here: the KAMI Osmosis Alkaline Bath is under development – a product I am particularly proud of because it completely rethinks the skincare routine. Literally, starting from the bathtub.
Why an alkaline bath at all?
With neurodermatitis and other skin problems, the skin barrier is genetically impaired. The skin is more permeable, loses moisture faster, becomes dry and chapped – and constant creaming only provides temporary relief. The itching remains. This is particularly distressing for small children.
What I want to achieve with the Osmosis Alkaline Bath: not just care for the skin after the bath, but to prepare and moisturize it during bathing – and at the same time optimally prepare it for subsequent care.
What's in it?
The KAMI Osmosis Alkaline Bath contains particularly mineral-rich salt – combined with a number of active ingredients that you may already know from our other products:
- Magnesium – relaxes and soothes
- Lavender – aromatherapeutic, stress-reducing
- Tanacetum annuum (Blue Chamomile) – skin-soothing, contains chamazulene against free radicals and itching
- Copaiba Balm – anti-inflammatory
- Glycerin – moisturizing
The base and minerals neutralize acid spots in the skin. The essential oils relax and lock in moisture. The goal: less itching, fewer eczema outbreaks, skin that recovers.
A note on application: For best results, I recommend applying one of our KAMI care products after the alkaline bath – the SOS Skin Care Oil, the SOS Skin Care Balm or the 2-Phase Care Spray. The skin is optimally prepared after the bath and absorbs the active ingredients particularly well.
Why crowdfunding?
The honest answer: because developing and launching a new product costs a lot. The alkaline bath has several development rounds behind it and still more ahead, it has been and continues to be tested by me and our community, and I am convinced that this thoroughness makes a real difference.
With crowdfunding on Startnext, you have the opportunity to support us and this product before it is officially available – and to secure it at a special price.

Overview of funding options
On the Startnext page, you will find various ways to support the project – from a simple supporter contribution to product packages. Feel free to explore all options there.
I particularly recommend the package deal:
If you support the alkaline bath together with our proven KAMI products, you get the bundle at a price significantly below the regular single purchase. This is especially interesting for our regular customers – you already know the quality, and now you can stock up and try out the new alkaline bath at the same time. Real savings, not just a little.
The alkaline bath itself will contain 300g – enough for about 15 baths – and will cost €36 in regular retail. You can get it cheaper through crowdfunding.
A personal message from me
I'm not doing this as a large company with a marketing department. I'm doing this as a doctor, as a mother, and as someone who truly believes there are better ways to deal with problem skin than cortisone and resignation.
Every bit of support – whether small or large – helps us get this product into the hands of the people who need it. And if you simply share the campaign, that's incredibly valuable too.
Thank you for being a part of this. 💚
Your Kerstin
